Summary
Wells Fargo also appears in the Credit Cards study, where it scores 75 and ranks 5 of 25. See that scorecard.

Task by task

Each task is scored out of 100 on completion, answer quality and how directly the answer was reached. Each note describes what the page delivered, with a link to the page the answer was found on.

Task 01Savings ratePartly served55 out of 100

The primary rate table for Way2Save and Platinum Savings displays as unavailable until a ZIP code script runs, yet a footnote on the same page states a real 3.25% APY for Platinum Savings, dated 7/8/2026.

Task 02Checking comparisonServed as text92 out of 100

The compare-checking-accounts page lists Clear Access Banking, Everyday Checking, Prime Checking, and Premier Checking with monthly fees from $5 to $35, full waiver conditions, and differentiators such as interest-bearing status, all as plain text.

Task 03Fee scheduleServed as PDF87 out of 100

A linked PDF, the Consumer Account Fee and Information Schedule effective July 28, 2026, extracts cleanly into eleven sections covering every checking and savings tier plus overdraft and general service fees.

Task 04Routing numberServed as text88 out of 100

The routing number help page states the routing number as 121000248 and the SWIFT code as WFBIUS6S, both in plain text, reachable in one hop from the homepage help menu.

Task 05Application pagePartly served68 out of 100

Respecting the site's robots rule on the application form itself, an agent read the identification-required page instead, finding age minimums, SSN or ITIN requirements, and accepted ID documents in full sentences.

A footnote on the savings rate page states a real 3.25% APY even as the primary rate cell shows unavailable.

Strengths and opportunities

What is working

  • The compare-checking-accounts page serves complete fee, waiver, and differentiator detail for four separate checking products as plain HTML text, no scripts required to read a single figure.
  • The Consumer Account Fee and Information Schedule PDF is one plain link away from the disclosures page and extracts cleanly with pdftotext into a full, dated, eleven-section fee schedule.
  • The routing number and SWIFT code are printed directly in the delivered HTML of the routing-number help page, readable without executing any script.
  • The identification-required-to-open page gives a genuinely thorough, plain-English account-opening checklist (age rules, SSN/ITIN, accepted ID types, proof of address) well before any application form is involved.

Opportunities

  • Publishing the Way2Save and Platinum standard rate tables in the initial HTML response, the way the compare-checking fees already are, would let an agent read today's APY without depending on the ZIP-code JavaScript call that currently returns 'Rates are unavailable at this time.'
  • Standing up a real llms.txt at the site root is an open opportunity. The current response is the bank's ordinary 404 page, so there is no dedicated index pointing an agent to the well-organized product and disclosure pages this run found.
  • Sincethe application path is disallowed for agents, publishing a lightweight, robots-friendly landing summary of the application steps (beyond the ID-required checklist) would give agents a complete reading of the application page while staying clear of cross into the disallowed path.

Access

Every page the agent requested was delivered on the first attempt. Publishing an llms.txt file would give agent traffic a documented entry point.
