Chequing, cards and investing publish complete pricing with a working comparison table. The credit card rate fields are ready to carry their values into the first response.
BMO posts an Agent Readiness Score of 60 out of 100 in the AI Compass Canada July 2026 Index. The score splits into Technical Readiness at 29/50 and Content Architecture at 31/50. Chequing, credit card earn rates and investing commissions all arrive as readable text with a working comparison table. The mortgage, savings and card rate modules are built and ready for their figures.
Access is clean throughout. The robots file allows every crawler with a single wildcard group, names a sitemap that resolves to 17 child files, and places no restriction on AI agents. Every page returned 200 with at most one clean redirect, and there is no province selector, cookie wall or language gate before content.
Three surfaces answer well. Plus Chequing serves “$12.95 per month or $0 with a $3,000 minimum balance” alongside Performance and Premium in a comparison table an agent can read across. The CashBack World Elite serves “Minimum $80,000 (individual) or $150,000 (household) annual income required” and the full earn grid. InvestorLine serves “$9.95 flat fee for each trade” and the fee waiver thresholds.
The card page is where the next points sit. The served HTML reads, word for word, “The annual fee is waived in the first year - a savings of $139. ERROR API VALUE NOT FOUND annual fee ERROR API VALUE NOT FOUND for purchases ERROR API VALUE NOT FOUND for cash advances”. A server-side render puts the annual fee, purchase rate and cash advance rate into the first response.
The deposit and mortgage tables show the same shape. Mortgage rates arrive as headers and row labels ready for values, and “BMO Prime Mortgage Rate is” is ready for its number. The two flagship savings accounts are ready to publish a rate while the two legacy accounts publish 0.010% and 0.05%. Homeowner ReadiLine shows the house can do it right, carrying footnotes 1 through 11 inline as body text.
One flagship product was selected for each personal banking sub-category on the bmo.com Canadian root. Each surface was read from the server response, without a browser session.
Chequing pricing is fully published with a comparison table. The page serves “Plus $12.95 per month or $0 with a $3,000 minimum balance ... Performance $17.95 ... Premium $30.95”, plus “Welcome bonus - $900 cash & Walmart+ membership for up to 12 months”.
Credit card eligibility is stated as a number. The CashBack World Elite page serves “Minimum $80,000 (individual) or $150,000 (household) annual income required” and the full earn grid from “5% on groceries” to “1% cash back on all other purchases”.
Investing pricing arrives complete in the first response. InvestorLine serves “$9.95 flat fee for each trade you make online + $1.25 per options contract” and “no account fees for registered accounts with a balance of over $25,000”.
Homeowner ReadiLine carries its disclosures inline. Footnotes 1 through 11 arrive as body text, including “The amount you allocate to your line of credit portion cannot exceed 65% of the value of your property”.
The credit card rate fields are ready for their values. The served HTML reads “ERROR API VALUE NOT FOUND annual fee ERROR API VALUE NOT FOUND for purchases ERROR API VALUE NOT FOUND for cash advances”, so a server-side render puts three figures into the first response.
Mortgage rate tables arrive as labelled skeletons ready for figures. The page serves the headers “Term Rate APR” and the row labels “1 year 2 year 3 year ... 10 year”, and “BMO Prime Mortgage Rate is” is ready for its number.
The two flagship savings accounts are ready to publish a rate. The table serves “Savings Amplifier Account Open account interest rate” beside “Premium Rate Savings Account ... 0.010% interest rate”, so adding the flagship figures completes the ladder.
The personal loan page is ready to state a cost. The served calculator reads “Interest rate* Enter an interest rate.” and the pricing language reads “you may be able to enjoy a lower interest rate”, so a published range answers the first question a borrower asks.
The encouraging read: three surfaces already reach the leading band, which shows the publishing standard exists inside the organization and is repeatable.
An agent asked for the BMO credit card purchase rate reads an error string, and the field is ready to carry the number instead.
BMO sits in the middle of the Canadian field. Three of its seven surfaces already reach the leading band, which shows the publishing standard exists inside the organization. Scores shown are the nearest neighbours in the July 2026 Canadian field.
Every Agent Readiness Score splits into Technical Readiness and Content Architecture. The two halves point to different teams and different timelines.
Sequencing, effort estimates and the surface-by-surface build order sit in the full engagement plan. Item one carries the largest share of the available lift.
Render the annual fee, purchase rate and cash advance rate server side so the values ship in the first response.
The tables, headers and row labels already arrive correctly. Injecting the current figures at render time moves the mortgage surface up a band on its own.
One line per page with a real summary naming the account, its fee and its rate. This is a fresh opportunity across all seven surfaces.
Homeowner ReadiLine already does this with footnotes 1 through 11 inline. Apply the same pattern to the card and chequing pages so terms travel with the offer.
The direction of travel favours BMO. Three surfaces already reach the leading band, and the pattern that got them there is repeatable.
BMO publishes fees better than most of the field. Publishing rates the same way closes the distance quickly.
AI Compass measures what an AI agent receives when it visits a financial institution website on a customer’s behalf. It reads the served response the way an agent does, without a browser session, without scripts, and without a human clicking to reveal a value.
Each product surface earns a score out of 100, built from Technical Readiness out of 50 and Content Architecture out of 50. The institution score is the average across the surfaces reviewed, up to seven.
Sub-categories come from the personal banking navigation on each brand’s Canadian root. Within each one, the flagship is the product the institution itself features first. Brands with fewer product lines are scored on the surfaces they actually sell, so a focused brand is measured on quality rather than on breadth.
Pages were read on 30 July 2026. Rates, bonus offers and terms move, and scores describe what each site served on that date. Where a site offers more than one language, the version served by default to a request with no language preference was used.
Scores come from observed page behaviour alone. No institution reviews or approves a score before publication, and every brand is measured against the same rubric. Outlier results are verified against a second independent retrieval pass before publication.
The score covers the public marketing site. Logged-in banking, the mobile app and the branch experience sit outside it. A site can score well here and still have work to do inside the login, and the reverse holds too.
BMO carries an AI Compass Agent Readiness Score of 60 out of 100 in the July 2026 Canada Index. That is the sum of Technical Readiness (29/50) and Content Architecture (31/50), scored across 7 product surfaces and read from the server response on 30 July 2026.
Each product surface earns a score out of 100, built from Technical Readiness out of 50 and Content Architecture out of 50. Technical Readiness covers crawler permission, machine-readable discovery, server-side completeness, retrievability and disclosure availability. Content Architecture covers price in text, eligibility in text, comparison structure, question coverage and plain answers. The institution score is the average across the surfaces reviewed. BMO sits at 29 on Technical Readiness and 31 on Content Architecture.
The strongest surface is Chequing at 72, with Investing at 70 close behind. The next points sit on the credit card rate service, the mortgage rate table and the two flagship savings accounts, where the page structure is ready for its figures.
